ST. VINCENT'S PARISH in Cobleskill was one of many across the Albany Diocese to host a seder before Easter -- a traditional meal for Passover, marking the Exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. A seder includes small amounts of specific foods laid out on a special plate.

Other items for a seder include wine, a vegetable dipped in salt water, hard-boiled eggs, bitter herbs and charoset, a paste made with fruit. Each item reminds participants of a part of the Exodus story.
